Blank email issue – May 1, 2021

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, a failure with one of VCN’s spam filtering servers caused blank emails to be received. If the problem affected your account, you would have received an email but without any content. There would be no way for VCN to recover these blank emails because the content was never stored. We recommend that you reply to the blank email and ask the sender to resend it.

On Saturday, May 1, 2021, one of VCN’s spam filtering servers was overloaded with too many emails and it ran out of space. This caused an error where the email content would be missing. Since the server didn’t fail completely the backup servers weren’t used.

On Saturday, May 1, 2021 at around 8pm the issue was noticed and the spam filter server with the issue was turned off so another spam filter server could correctly process emails.
