Date of event Saturday October 26
Location of event Richmond Nature Park

Walk a trail lit by hundreds of jack-o-lanterns as mischievous raccoons, a friendly bear and other Wild Things emerge from the forest to share their stories at this year’s Halloween-inspired event at the Richmond Nature Park. Drop by this theatrical outdoor event any time between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26 and be prepared for a perfect mix of slightly spooky fun and interesting nature facts. The night includes an encounter with Griselda, the Nature Park’s resident witch, face painting, storytelling, a children’s craft area and an opportunity to buy your Halloween pumpkin. Enjoy some popcorn or a cup of hot chocolate while you meet the wild creatures that will come out of the woods for the evening.   Admission for this event is free for those two years and younger, $2 for children three to 12 years old, $3 for adults, or $10 for families. The admission fee supports the Richmond Nature Park Society’s nature education programs such as ‘Nature In Your Neighbourhood’, a free travelling exhibit that teaches people about wildlife that may be encountered in the community and how to be a good neighbour to them.

Wild Things is suitable for all ages, but an adult must accompany children. Flashlights and costumes are optional. Please dress appropriately for the weather as the event is held rain or shine. The Richmond Nature Park is located at 11851 Westminster Highway, at No. 5 Road.
