On September 18th join Cynthia Flood as the Journey Prize-winning Vancouver writer launches Red Girl Rat Boy, her fourth and latest short fiction collection. With a vision that Nancy Richler calls "bracing, passionate and entirely lacking in sentimentality," Red Girl Rat Boy draws together a gallimaufry of subjects, from wild cats to sibling spats—but running throughout them is the inimitable prose, the chronological nimbleness, and the resonant sense for traumatic moments that characterizes the best of Cynthia Flood's work.
