Discover the good, the bad and the “bugly” at Richmond Nature Park’s new Bug show.  Live tarantulas, scorpions and hissing cockroaches are just a few of the things you will see on Sunday, September 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. when specialists will provide live insect encounters, hands on activities and insect biofacts to investigate.

This new creepy crawly show features something for everyone.  Children can be transformed into bugs with the help of Science World’s outreach team, while urban gardeners can learn pest management strategies from researchers at SFU’s Gerhard Gries’ and Roitberg Lab.  Display cases will also be available for viewing from UBC’s Beaty Biodiversity Museum.

The Bug Show is suitable for all ages and admission is by donation, with all money raised supporting Richmond Nature Park Society educational programs.  For more information, call the Richmond Nature Park at 604-718-6188 or visit www.richmond.ca/parksprograms
