Nelson, Robert Sanzalone, Richard Songhurst. 


1.      Agenda.

M/S/C That the agenda be adopted.  Carried

2.      Minutes.

M/S/C That the minutes of the November 12, 1997, board meeting be adopted. 

3.      User agreement update.

In response to the announced change in the user agreement, 77 messages were
received, 67 of which were in favour of the policy, 3 opposed.
References to the BC Human Rights Act and Canada Human Rights Act have
been removed.

4.      Project reports.

Projects being pursued or carried out include:  Jobseekers public access
sites, Spanish pilot project, Virtual People's Summit, Ecocity and
Vancouver Foundation. 

5.      Staff.

M/S/C That staff be invited to attend board meetings.  CARRIED. 

6.      Financial report.

Total cash balance is $53,653.70, with $40,000 in term deposits. 

7.      Board retreat.

The board retreat will be scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 1998, 3 p.m. 
to 7 p.m.at 411 Dunsmuir.  Staff will be invited to take part as well. 

Items for the retreat will include issues raised at the AGM, such as how
to get member input on issues, further discussion on time limits, and
recruiting new members. 

The regular board meeting will be scheduled for January 20, 1998.

8.      Announcements.

There will be a volunteer holiday party on December 16, from 4:30 to 7:00
at 411 Dunsmuir.
