The Peer Navigator Program is a new program offered by the Canadian Mental Health Association, Vancouver-Fraser Branch (CMHA-VF) and funded by Vancouver Coastal Health to connect individuals with Peer Navigators who have lived experience with mental illness, substance use or addiction and who understand the social support and health services available in Vancouver.

Peer Navigators will provide guidance while working with clients to access social services such as:

  • Health and wellness
  • Housing & tenancy
  • Income and finanical assistance
  • Legal aid
  • Community connections

Peer Navigators are positioned within community agencies and services that provide mental health and substance use services.  The locations currently include MPA Society, Kettle Friendship Society, and VCH’s Vancouver Adult Mental Health Intake.  Services are free of charge.  Program participants are accepted through referrals, self or through an agency and either written or verbal.

Drop In:  Vancouver Adult Mental Health Intake, 1669 East Broadway, Vancouver, BC (by Commercial Skytrain Station), M-F.
