                          Board Meeting
          411 Dunsmuir, Vancouver -- September 14, 1995

Attendance: Brian Campbell (chair), Margaret Coates, Penny Goldsmith, Lorne
Gray, Neil Guy, Ross Penner (recorder), and Eric Teachman. Absent: Stephen
Gauer, Tom Hanson, Larry Kuehn, George Lindholm, Vic Vaivads, and Eric Yung.

1.   Call to Order at 6:45 p.m.

2.   Adoption of Agenda

3.   Minutes of August 29, 1995. M/S Margaret Coates, Neil Guy to accept with
     the correction to Neil's name. Carried.

4.   Financial Statements
     M/S Margaret Coates, Penny Goldsmith that the Financial Statements for
     the Year Ending August 31, 1995 be approved. Carried.

5.   (U.S.) National Public Telecomputing Network (Brian Campbell)
     NPTN wrote August 21 regarding their claim to the freenet name. They
     request that we join their network ("free" for 1995, but cost involved
     for 1996+) by countersigning their letter.

     M/S Penny Goldsmith, Lorne Gray that VRFA not agree to sign the letter.
     Carried.

6.   Motion of Appreciation
     M/S Margaret Coates, Lorne Gray that we express our appreciation to
     Brian Campbell and all other retiring board members. Carried.

7.   Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
