Depression is one of the most significant public health challenges in Canada. It is, by some measures the single largest cause of long-term disability in the country. But what is it, exactly? What causes it? Is it really just a biochemical imbalance? And, most importantly, how do we treat it? What can someone do on their own to prevent or help overcome the problem?
In this talk psychologist and author Dr. Randy Paterson sheds light on this complex disorder, and on some basic self-care strategies that turn out to be surprisingly potent.
Admission is free. Seating is limited.
Co-sponsored by Changeways Clinic.
