Please join us as Kucki Low reads from her memoir, "This is Kucki Your Pilot Speaking", recounting the challenges, triumphs and joys of being a twentieth-century aviation pioneer. During the 1970s, female pilots on any continent were few and far between. Overcoming personal tragedy and limited schooling, Kucki von Gerlach attained her private pilot’s licence in early 1969 at the age of 23 and became South Africa’s first female commercial airline pilot.

Currently residing in Vancouver, BC, Kucki Low is an author and inspirational speaker who relates her life story to highlight how everyone is able to achieve success and happiness, a powerful message on breaking barriers.

Admission is free. Seating is limited.
